The map below depicts the five major themes explored in Satsuma Future Commons: fashion, food, architecture, digital technology and infrastructure. In addition to laboratories, the site also includes open kitchens, gardens, residential areas, shops, galleries and more. Citizens are displayed making use of the facilities while cultivating a lifestyle to build a circular city.
Satsuma Future Commons is designed in collaboration with Satsumasendai City Council and Kyushu University School of Design. We are an interdisciplinary and global team of circular designers that collaborate with citizens, industries, academia and the public sector.
